It's so good to be back in front of a keyboard. I've been busy with life, you know how that gets in the way...
My mother passed away, I got divorced, changed jobs, and then out of the blue found a wonderful man made just for me.

Character Development

I didn't see it coming. One of my characters fell in love.

"Well, you write romance," you say, "so this is to be expect."

But it wasn't. He was supposed to be stuck on himself. And after many brutal hours of trying to keep him in his place, I hit the delete button and started over. I let him take the lead, and the scene progressed quickly.

I am proud of my character. I am proud of me.

A Gift for Emily is off to the editor!

As a writer, I often feel the old saying, "There is no such thing as rest for the the wicked," applies to my life; not that I'm wicked, but that there is always too much to do. 

After sending the manuscript off to the editor, I spent an entire 5 minutes celebrating the fact that I completed A Gift for Emily. Then the panic hit me: I need to include the first chapter of the third book as a teaser!!! Back to the keyboard I went. 

I'm really not complaining....I love being an author. With that, please be on the lookout within the next few weeks for the second book in The Emily Stokes Series... coming to eReaders and paperback.
